Mumbai, 14 July, 2014 : Café Coffee Day (CCD), India’s pioneer and largest retail chain of coffee cafés has launched its most premium offering - ‘The Square’ in Mumbai. Located at CR2 mall in Nariman Point, The Square addresses the absolute coffee connoisseur. This speciality offering from CCD presents the widest range of some of the best known Single Origin Coffees from around the world with food to compliment each brew. The Square was showcased over a unique interactive session exclusively for the food blogger fraternity and twitteratis of the city.

The Square is a uniquely designed café that serves a variety of single origin coffee coffees from around the world in an environment which is comfortable and avant garde. Single origin coffees are procured from beans grown in a single location, giving the coffee uniformity. It is the business class of coffee drinking where each cup of coffee brings you the distinct flavour and richness capturing the essence and characteristics of its surroundings. The single origin coffees at The Square were showcased through a unique coffee cupping session. Hosted by CCD coffee evangelist, Rhicha Sinha and corporate food consultant and writer, Rushina Munshaw Ghildiyal the various nuances of these speciality coffees along with tips on foods that pair well with it were shared. Rushina also demonstrated recipes using coffee as an ingredient. The special line up of coffees at The Square include three Indian coffees - Rajgiri Pearl, Indian Kathlekhan Superior and Mysore Nuggets Extra Bold; and four international coffees - Costa Rican Tarrazu, Colombian Supremo, Ethiopian Sidamo and Guatemala Antigua.

The session was fun, interactive and insightful with the guests inquiring and deliberating about everything related to coffee. The guests not only sampled all the coffees on offer but were also given their favourite coffee freshly ground and packed to take home. They were also given Kathlekhan coffee candied nuts specially created by Rushina for the event.
